Introduction to examples

This section contains examples from the construction area. Elements relating to construction works, the area of procurement, deliveries and leases of structural elements.

BIM

Integration with the Catenda Hub/BIM Sync system (CDE environment)

The document describes how to integrate the AMAGE system with the CDE BIMSync/Catenda Hub environment. This environment allows you to store, share and work on models and documentation in accordance with the BIM process.

Import of structured data from IFC v.2x3 and COBie formats

The AMAGE system has a number of universal data importers/exporters. In addition, it has the option of including specialized importers from standardized data structures. These are the IFC format used to store structural and parametric information of models in the BIM process, and the COBie format, which is a transitional format between data from the design system and systems dealing with maintenance (CMMS/Maintenance systems) or property management (Facility Management). The document describes how to import data from the above formats to the AMAGE system.

Leases

Leases - no lease calculation for orders

The document describes/explains the issue of not calculating the lease for documents associated with the selected work order/structural element. The document allows to explain the mechanism, the method of calculation and answers the doubts arising with this mechanism.

Change in the lease rate during the operation of the contract

The document describes the method of changing the lease rate during the contract. In some cases, the supplier changes the terms of the lease during the performance - usually the lease rate changes. This document shows how to modify the data in the system to keep the entire history of calculating the lease with the old rates, but at the same time enable the performance of the contract with the new rates.

Creation of a correction factor

The document describes the mechanism for the definition of adjustment factors for the calculation of leases. Usually these are lease withholdings, but there can be any other mechanism that will cause that at a certain time in some range the lease will not be calculated or will be calculated with a certain percentage adjustment. We explain how the coefficient is defined and the options available.

Comprehensive import of lease documents

These importers allow you to import data and create several necessary objects. In this case, we describe the import of commercial documents (deliveries, returns). Usually, in such a case, several objects are created in the system: Order, Delivery, Warehouse document, and then the status of the selected (target) warehouse is updated. The process is the same for both return documents and delivery documents. In this document, we describe how to convert a sample document provided by the supplier to a format acceptable by the importer and then carry out the final import.

Leases - data analytics and dashboards

The document describes the analytical view of leases. A view that consists of a set of data in the form of charts, tables and indicators that facilitate the financial analysis of the implementation of leases, including formwork elements. Using such visualization and dashboards, the user can quickly check the financial result of a given contract and compare offer, design and implementation data.

Deliveries/leases - management of leases

The document describes, as an example, the lease settlement mechanism in the context of formwork materials and the exchange of information with companies supplying these materials. The document includes the process of creating the structure of structural elements, creating related documentation. Next, we present the settlement of deliveries, returns and lease costs as part of the implemented investment.

Deliveries

Deliveries, Orders - order from work order plan

The document describes in pictures the mechanism of creating orders from the work plan. A work plan (bill of materials, BoQ, etc.) is a list of materials needed to complete a task.

Operational management of concrete deliveries

The purpose of the document is to present supervision over orders, deliveries and consumption of concrete for structural elements at the construction site. The document describes the configuration, commissioning and management of the system for coordinating concrete deliveries and settlements of transport and materials.

Lease of small devices and machines

The document describes in the form of use cases the mechanism for managing the rental of small equipment (drills, pumps, aggregates, vehicles, etc.) on the construction site. For this we use the "Equipment" module in the AMAGE system. The document shows how to configure and use the system to settle leases with suppliers, but also to settle the consumption of equipment inside the construction site among employees and subcontractors.

Deliveries - declaration and return of material from the warehouse

The document describes the mechanism for generating the return of items from the warehouse to the supplier. This can be applied to leased items, i.e. items that are delivered and which we have to return after a certain period of time. These can be formwork elements (this example is based on them), but also drums and additional elements that we have to return.

Deliveries - declaration of delivery via the Supplier Portal

The document describes the mechanism for creating delivery declarations by an external supplier. In this case, the Supplier’s Portal is used, where the supplier declares delivery to the order generated by us. The document shows how to activate notifications and communicate with the supplier. Then it goes through the next steps performed by the system user and the supplier’s representative.

Structures - division of the structure into sub-elements

The document describes one of the solutions for dividing construction objects into individual sub-elements with detailed financial calculations and, at the same time, handling the exchange of information on the lease using a limited (smaller) number of accounts.

Finance - Workflow system (external) data export

The tutorial shows how to export invoicing data from an external IT system (here on the example of the Workflow system implementation) for import to the AMAGE system

Preparation of data for formwork import

The document describes how to prepare Excel sheets with a standard structure, necessary for the initial supply of formwork systems with the use of implementation mechanisms. With their help, we can import and automatically create advanced data structures regarding structural elements, as well as lease costs, delivery/return history.

Leases - EDI integrations, orders and returns

The document describes in the form of a specific use case the handling of order/return procedures and integration with external IT systems of the supplier (EDI). With the help of this document, you will learn how to integrate the received electronic document into the system (delivery/return check) in the system and handle the ordering, delivery and return of materials from the construction site.

Leases - from order to warehouse and lease calculations

The document describes the procedure for ordering components from the supplier. Transfer of the order to the supplier via email. The supplier declares his delivery through the Supplier Portal and then, after delivering the delivery to the place, we check it using mobile devices. After approval of the check, we transfer the delivery to the selected warehouse.

Warehouses - circulation of parametric materials in the warehouse and deliveries

The document describes the use of the Delivery and Warehouse modules using detailed material identification using parameters and identifiers. Enabling these functions allows for accurate tracking of material flow with definable parameters. In this case, we will deal with steel elements that require precise identification of the melt and the certificate number of each element separately during the complete information flow from delivery through the warehouse circulation to consumption in the production process.
