Introduction
About the Amage PVD program
The Amage PVD (ParamValueDispatcher) application is a component of the AMAGE system for collecting data that can come from various sources and transmitting them to recipients. Both providers and recipients of data can be different - the modular structure of the program allows a very high degree of freedom in compiling them.
The application is usually installed on Edge Computing devices (edge computers) mounted at physical communication bus access points or at locations remote (GSM communications) from the central AMAGE system.
Due to its universal architecture, it can also be installed on server infrastructure (virtual servers) running Linux/Windows systems. This allows, for example, the installation of such data aggregators in places where there is direct access to secure IT systems such as ERP/DCS. Through the PVD application, data exchange with the AMAGE system is implemented.
The application has its own data storage and in case there is no communication with the central AMAGE system (no network, damage, loss of communication) it stores the collected data locally and then when communication returns it transmits the historical data (and current data) transparently.
Using the PVD application, you can create a network of data aggregators from peripheral devices and send them collectively to the central AMAGE system.
