Rugged devices for online/offline work
Introduction
The AMAGE system is dedicated to working in demanding industrial environments. Usually, during implementations, we use standard mobile solutions that are equipped with each company and the individual employee. Be it phones or simple tablets with Android/iOS operating systems.
However, sometimes there is a need or requirement to use devices with a special design due to the working environment (dust, humidity, water). An additional requirement is also work in modes without access to the network. In the case of industrial plants and construction sites, there is not always good access to the IT network. In this case, the AMAGE system can be configured to work with offline devices.
The devices download data in a place where they have access to the network (construction office, plant control room, etc.). Then, after switching to offline mode, the devices work without access to the network. For this purpose, key information is synchronized locally. The employee logs his work and saves the data in local memory. After returning to the synchronization site, the device sends the completed work back to the main system as a change log.
The administrator has full control over synchronized data and device access. In the same way, a set of data from the main system that is necessary for its operation can be made available to external subcontractors.
To take advantage of such solutions, we offer technical solutions proven over many years of operation, which have various sizes adapted to the requirements/functions but also equipped with a full range of additional devices such as barcode/2D scanners, RFID scanners, docking stations and other accessories. Below is a selected set of devices of various sizes to be used in the AMAGE system.
Tablet 6” – online/offline work
Emdoor EM-I62H is a modern combination of a tablet and a smartphone with a 5.98-inch screen. This is an ideal proposition for users who value ergonomics of use with all the functions of the Windows 10 IoT operating system. In addition to the exceptional performance of the Intel® x5-Z8350 processor and 2GB RAM, the phablet is characterized by increased resistance to unfortunate falls, splashes and ubiquitous dust. The EM-I62H is used in environments where constant connection to the Internet and peripheral devices is required. The transfer of collected data is guaranteed by fully automated built-in barcode and NFC/RFID HF identification readers.
Tablet 5.5" - online work
Senter S917V2 is equipped with 4 GB RAM / 64 GB ROM and an octa-core Qualcomm® Snapdragon SDM450 processor. The undoubted advantage of this model is also the large 5.5" IPS display with FULL HD 1080×1920 resolution, which allows you to work comfortably with any application regardless of the number of elements. P65 standard. Withstands operation at temperatures from -10 °C to +50 °C and a fall on a flat surface from 1.2 meters. Standard equipment for the AMAGE system is a barcode/2D reader and an RFID/NFC 13.56MHz (HF) reader.
Tablet 10" - online/offline work
The tablet is offered with an efficient Intel® x5-Z8350 processor, which supports Windows 10 Home and Professional versions with Active Directory support. The configuration with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM meets the needs of the most demanding applications, and optional readers enable the tablet to be used in any project. Due to the IP65 standard and military tests, the tablet can be used in the most difficult weather conditions. The slightly ribbed aluminum housing will withstand unfortunate falls from 1 m and extreme temperatures ranging from -10 °C ~ +50 °C. Additional IP65 protection prevents dust and water from entering sensitive electronic components.
The Howto is based on system version 1.17.0.2 (03.2022) and presents features that may not be available in your system. Ask AMAGE about making this functionality available. |
Due to the ongoing development of the system, some screens or configuration files may look slightly different, but will still retain the full functionality described here. This does not affect the essential functions described in this document. |
